This is a masking set, not a kit of an airplane. Kabuki tape is a thin paper masking tape that holds even on curves and leaves no adhesive on the surface when lifted. The ADVANCED designation is the middle level of extent in the range that this maker builds for one type. The BASIC and EXPERT levels are also made for the same aircraft, and the exact contents of the individual levels should be checked on the box of the set.
The Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules is a four-engine turboprop transport aircraft, the newest development branch of the Hercules family. It can be told from the older versions by its propellers with a greater number of blades and by a different cockpit layout. Its glazing is extensive, including the side windows of the pilot's station and the front panels, so masking takes more time on this subject than on a fighter.
Wash and degrease the glazing, and do not touch the clear parts with your fingers. Transfer the masks with tweezers, offer them up dry and then press the edges down with a blunt tool. On large areas work in sections, so that the tape does not ripple. Seal the edges with a thin coat of the interior color and only then spray the exterior shade, always in several thin coats. Lift the masks while the paint is fresh.
The set contains masking parts only. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
