An injection-molded plastic kit of the German medium half-track tractor Sd.Kfz.7 (8 tons) in 1:35 scale from the production of the maker Das Werk. The box captures the production form of 1943 and is richly equipped — it contains a complete interior, clear and photo-etched parts, individual track links to be assembled and a set of crew figures in seated positions. The Sonderkraftfahrzeug 7 was a German medium half-track tractor with a capacity of around 8 tons, produced from the end of the 1930s until the close of the Second World War in numbers of over ten thousand. The Wehrmacht used it above all as a tractor for artillery, including heavy guns and anti-aircraft guns, and as a means of transport for gun crews and engineer units. The vehicle proved itself by its pulling power and its ability to move even in demanding terrain.
First finish and paint the interior and the running gear, and only then close the hull up. Assemble the individual track links according to the instructions. Glue the thin-walled parts carefully with a liquid cement for plastic. Paint the figures separately, and for the uniforms and the skin choose shades corresponding to the period. Apply a primer and the paints with an airbrush, and create the patina with a wash and with pigments for the dust and mud effects typical of field use.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
