This item is not a glued plastic model but a kit of plastic bricks from the brand COBI. According to the name it is the form in the colors of the US Navy. The parts snap together, so no glue, filler or paints are needed for the build, and you work through a picture instruction sheet. The finished model is firm and can be displayed straight away. Check the number of parts, the dimensions and the contents of the package on the box.
The V-22 Osprey is a tiltrotor, that is a machine that combines the properties of a helicopter and an aircraft. At the wingtips it has two tilting rotor nacelles: set upright they allow vertical takeoff and landing, and once tipped forward the machine flies like a turboprop aircraft. The US Navy uses this type above all for transport tasks connected with the operation of aircraft carriers, where range and the ability to land without a runway are valued. The wing and the rotor blades can be folded to save room on deck.
It is built following the instructions step by step, without cutting and sanding. Take the parts out gradually following the steps so that the small components do not get lost, and work on a light surface. Once built, check the symmetry of both nacelles and the overall seating of the wing. The finished model only needs dusting with a soft brush from time to time.
The kit is supplied unassembled. Glue and paints are not needed, as the parts join mechanically.
