1:144 Antitank barrier is a diorama accessory, not a kit of a vehicle or an aircraft. It brings an antitank barrier in 1:144 scale for filling out a base or a display case.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small diorama set from the Czech maker Brengun, meant for finishing the scene around a model. It is not a model of a combat vehicle but a piece of terrain that is built on its own and placed on a base. In 1:144 scale details like this help keep the scale logic of a scene, because the vehicles themselves are so small that without surroundings they look flat.
Antitank barriers were passive engineering obstacles meant to slow or stop the advance of tracked and wheeled vehicles and to steer them into places covered by fire. They were built from steel sections, concrete elements or a combination of both and were usually laid out in lines across roads, at bridges and along the edges of fortified positions. For a modeler they suit airfield defenses, urban and field scenes alike, and marking the boundary of an occupied position.
The accessory is set into a diorama rather than merely laid on it. Sink the barrier into a layer of modeling putty or filler so that it looks as if it really stands in the terrain, and suggest disturbed soil around it. Degrease the whole part before painting and spray a primer that evens out the surface. Steel sections are painted in a dark grayish shade with a hint of corrosion, concrete elements in a light gray that is best broken up with an uneven wash. Build the weathering from the bottom up so that the lower part of the piece is dirtier than the upper edges.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
