Decals B-24 Liberator G.R.Mk.VI No. 311 Sqn. RAF 1:144 are a decal set from DK Decals with the markings of No. 311 (Czechoslovak) Squadron RAF. This is not a kit but supplementary decals for a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of waterslide decals in 1:144 scale brings markings for a model of the maritime patrol aircraft Consolidated B-24 Liberator G.R.Mk.VI in the service of No. 311 (Czechoslovak) Squadron RAF. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory – decal sheets that are applied to a model already built and painted. The manufacturer is DK Decals.
No. 311 (Czechoslovak) Squadron RAF served during the Second World War with RAF Coastal Command among others, where on Liberators it hunted German submarines over the Atlantic. For Czech and Slovak modelers it is an exceptionally attractive subject tied to their own history and to the service of Czechoslovak airmen.
The decals are cut out, dipped for a few seconds in lukewarm water and slid off the backing paper onto the model. They are applied over a gloss coat, which prevents silvering under the decal, and once dry they are covered with matte or semi-gloss clear. Using a decal softener for perfect adhesion to the surface is advisable.
This is a set of decals, not an airplane model. The model, the paints and the clear coat are not included in the package.
