The Eurofighter Typhoon in 1:144 scale is a small kit of the European multirole fighter, listed in the name as a model set.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the European supersonic fighter in the smallest of the commonly built aircraft scales. The finished aircraft measures around eleven centimeters, so it fits even a full display case and looks good beside airliners of the same size. The words model set are part of the name, but the particular contents of such a package cannot be read from it.
The Typhoon is a fighter with a delta wing and canard foreplanes that arose from the cooperation of Great Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain. The deliberately unstable aerodynamic layout is held in balance by electronic flight controls, which gives the machine exceptional agility. Its pair of EJ200 engines lets it fly at supersonic speed even without the afterburner. It was originally created for air combat and later took on attacks against ground targets and reconnaissance as well.
The most sensitive spot is where the canard foreplanes and the wing leading edges join: check the angles before the joint dries. A gray camouflage calls for a smooth base, otherwise every scratch shows. The cockpit is tiny, so the canopy frame can simply be lined in with a thin brush instead of demanding masking. Fit the underwing stores only after the decals are on, so that they do not get in the way.
The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
