1:144 Ilyushin IL76 Part 2: North Korea Air Koryo IL76MD is a decal sheet from the Wolfpack brand for a model of the heavy transport aircraft Ilyushin Il-76. The set is intended for the Zvezda kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second part of the Wolfpack decal series for the Ilyushin Il-76. According to the name it carries the markings of the North Korean carrier Air Koryo on a machine of the Il-76MD version. The sheet is intended to finish a model you build separately and is not a kit in itself. The extent of the sheet is not described in the name, so nothing is claimed here about the number of options. The dimensions and shapes are based on the Zvezda kit.
The Il-76 is among the most widespread heavy transport aircraft in the world and flies in military and civil colors alike. Its fuselage has the shape of a square tunnel with a floor adapted for roller conveyors and containers, which makes it a universal cargo carrier. The glazed nose is a legacy of the original brief, thanks to which the aircraft had a separate navigator's station. The Il-76MD version is the strengthened form with a higher takeoff weight. The color schemes of civil operators tend to be rewarding on a model, because they break up a uniform gray or white finish with bold bands.
Apply the long lines across the whole fuselage in one piece and in one go. The surface has to be smooth, otherwise a line will wrinkle on rough paint. Help yourself with soapy water: a decal still slides on it for a while and can be lined up. Then blot the excess away with the corner of a paper towel and let the model rest before you start varnishing.
