A photo-etched detail set for the two-seat Me 262 in 1:144 scale is an accessory to a kit you have already bought, not an airplane model. According to the name there are two identical sets in the box.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory from the Czech maker Brengun for a model of the German twin-engine Me 262 jet in its two-seat configuration. It is not a kit: the set holds photo-etched metal parts that replace or add features on a model built from the Eduard kit. According to the name there are two identical sets in the box.
Etched sheet is supplied flat, and only the bends turn it into a part. It is worth getting a simple bending tool, but two razor blades and a steel ruler will do the job too. Always bend along the etched thinning line, which is etched into the sheet precisely so that the fold comes where it should. On right-angled bends and on parts that are to be rolled into a cylinder, a brief anneal helps: hold the part over a flame with tweezers until it changes color slightly and let it cool. The metal softens and stops springing back.
Cut the parts off with a scalpel, not with nippers. Degrease the metal with alcohol before painting and prime it. Bond with super glue applied in minute drops; on larger areas the gel version comes in handy, as it gives you time to align the part. If the set replaces a molded detail on the plastic, cut the original shape away first and sand the area smooth. And because the whole model is roughly ten centimeters long, work over a light surface.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
