This item is not a kit of an airplane but a photo-etched add-on set. It is intended for models of the early versions of the Messerschmitt Bf 109, that is the forms from A to E, in the tiny 1:144 scale. According to the name there are two sets in the package, which matches the fact that models in this scale are often sold two to a box.
Injection-molded plastic has a technological limit of thickness below which it cannot go. In 1:144 scale that means ordinary plastic parts such as instrument panels, seats or small covers come out disproportionately thick. Photo-etched sheet, by contrast, is as thin as a real sheet-metal part in scale, and once bent and glued on it gives a model a scale-correct look even where a plastic part looks coarse. On so small a model the effect is surprisingly marked, because what gets corrected is exactly what the viewer perceives as coarseness.
Cut the parts off the fret with a sharp knife or photo-etch shears against a hard surface, and never break them out. Make the bends in a bender or between two blades so that the edge stays crisp. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue applied in drops on the tip of a toothpick — cement for polystyrene does not hold on photo-etched parts. Degrease the sheet before painting and apply a primer for metal. With tiny parts it pays to work on a light surface and with tweezers, because a part that flies off at this size is practically impossible to find.
