The 1:144 MiG-21 MF/MFN set is a photo-etched accessory to a kit of this aircraft that you have already bought, not a model of its own. The metal parts refine the cockpit and the surface detail in 1:144 scale.

An accessory set from the Czech maker Brengun, etched from thin metal sheet and cut for one particular kit, Eduard 4425/7106. It is not an airplane model, and plastic parts and decals are not included in the package. In this scale photo-etched parts mainly solve what injected plastic cannot manage because of its thickness, that is seat belts, the instrument panel, small protrusions, grilles and covers that in plastic are only suggested by engraving.
The MiG-21 was a Soviet single-engine supersonic fighter with a delta wing and a circular air intake with a movable shock cone. The MF version was among the most widespread and carried an improved radar and engine. The MFN designation is used for machines adapted for operation to standards matching those of the North Atlantic Alliance, with added avionics and navigation equipment. The type served with dozens of air forces and is among the most-produced supersonic aircraft of all.
Before you start, print out or lay out the instructions so that you have the order of work in front of you, because the photo-etched parts for the cockpit have to go in before the fuselage halves are joined. Cut the parts off with a scalpel on a hard surface rather than breaking them out. Bend them in one movement, ideally in a bending tool. Anneal hardened metal briefly over a flame and let it cool; it will soften. Degrease the metal with alcohol before painting and prime it, otherwise the paint comes off at the lightest touch. Apply super glue with a pin from a drop on a tile.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
