A kit of the American attack helicopter AH-64D Longbow Apache in 1:144 scale. Model Set is the designation of a package to which the manufacturer adds basic building accessories; their exact range is stated on the box and in the enclosed instructions.
The Apache is a twin-engine attack helicopter with a tandem cockpit, in which the gunner sits in front and the pilot behind him and higher. Under the nose is a movable cannon, and on the stub wings are pylons for anti-armor missiles and rocket pods. The Longbow version is recognizable at first sight: it carries a radar in a housing above the main rotor head, so it can acquire targets without the whole machine rising above cover.
For modelers who collect helicopters in a small scale, and for beginners, for whom a Model Set saves buying equipment for a first build. The finished model takes up little room on a shelf and can also be placed as an accessory beside a larger scene with hardware in another scale.
What exactly the package contains is stated on the box and in the manufacturer's instructions. Tools, the fitting out of a workplace and a display case are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
