A Model Set starter package with a kit of the two-seat F-15E Strike Eagle strike aircraft in 1:144 scale. Besides the kit it contains basic paints, a brush and glue.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-15E Strike Eagle is the two-seat strike version of the heavy F-15 fighter. The rear seat belongs to the weapon systems officer, along the sides of the fuselage the aircraft carries conformal fuel tanks and beneath them a row of pylons for bomb and missile armament. The power comes from two turbofan engines with afterburners, so the machine manages attack tasks without losing its fighter qualities.
The Model Set is a starter package: besides the kit in 1:144 scale it also holds basic paints, a brush and glue. The exact make-up, the number of parts and the color options offered are given in the manufacturer's instructions. The finished model has a span of around nine centimeters and a length of around thirteen centimeters, so it will fit even on a narrow shelf or in a small display case.
In a small scale the result is decided by the cleanliness of the seams and the fineness of the paint layer. Separate the parts with nippers, sand the mating surfaces and dry-fit the build. Apply the paint in thin coats, so that the fine panel lines are not lost. Mask the cockpit glazing before spraying and paint the landing gear bays before you close them. The decals hold best on a gloss base; at the end tie the surface together with a semi-matte varnish.
The set is suitable for beginners who want everything needed together, and for collectors of modern combat aircraft in a small scale. Tools and material beyond the contents of the package are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
