Masking templates for the model of the Japanese Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa fighter in 1:144 scale, two pieces in the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa was a Japanese single-engine fighter of the Second World War. It was light and exceptionally agile, which gave it an edge in close-range combat in the first years of the war. Among the Allies the code name Oscar became established for it. In 1:144 scale it is a small model on which the cleanliness of the spray job decides the final impression more than the number of parts.
A masking template is applied to the model before the paint is sprayed, the coat is laid over it and, once it is lifted, a sharp transition stays exactly where it should be. In a small scale that is the greatest help a modeler can get: going over the line with a brush by hand or laying tape in pieces runs up against the size of the parts here. The set holds two masks.
Let the surface dry perfectly and rid it of dust and grease, or the edge of the template will be undercut. Move the template with tweezers or the tip of a scalpel and press it down around the whole perimeter, especially where it runs over an edge. Spray the paint in thin coats square to the surface, so that no mist gets under the edge. Lift the template soon after the paint is dry to the touch, pulling it at an angle toward you, not straight up. A fresh coat breaks along the edge, while an aged one tears at the border.
Masking templates are supplied. The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
