Responsibility details are not available.
A printed display base from Mark I intended for displaying helicopter models in 1:144 scale, with the motif of a Royal Navy helicopter area. It is neither a kit nor a part of a model — it is a printed surface for a finished model. The dimensions, the material and the contents of the package are stated on the box of the base.
The best result comes from mounting it on a flat board of cardboard, plywood or rigid foam; a print laid down loose curls and reflects light. Apply the glue in a thin continuous layer or use double-sided tape, and smooth the area from the center toward the edges so that no bubbles form. Cover the edge with a strip or a dark frame. Protect the base from damp and from prolonged sun. Adding small figures of personnel or ground equipment in 1:144 scale will enliven the scene markedly. Do not fix the model to the base permanently if you want to go on moving it — a drop of glue that dries clear under the landing gear is enough, or double-sided tape, which comes off without damage. If you also use the base for photography, light the scene from one side and slightly above; a shadow under the model ties the model to the surface better than evenly diffused light.
For collectors of naval helicopters in a small scale who want to present a model on a matching surface, and for modelers who photograph their work and need a quick, reusable background.
The base is supplied on its own. The model, figures and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
