An injection-molded plastic kit of the American main battle tank M1A1 Abrams in 1:72 scale from Flyhawk. The set offers finely engraved detail, a photo-etched brass part and a quality decal sheet with several marking options. Flyhawk is known for precise fit of the parts and a high level of detail even in a small scale.
The M1A1 is the improved version of the American M1 Abrams tank, armed with a 120 mm smoothbore gun and protected by composite armor. Powered by a gas turbine, it is one of the most widespread combat platforms of Western armies, proven in a number of conflicts since the 1990s.
Use thin cement for plastic and cut the small parts off carefully. Assemble and paint the running gear before the hull is closed up. After a base coat from an airbrush the model comes into its own with washes in the engraved lines and dust pigments, which give it a desert or a field finish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
