1:16 U.S. Military Assault Backpack 1 from Jason Studio is a modeling accessory in its own right, an assault backpack of an American soldier in the large 1:16 scale. It is neither a kit nor a figure.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package contains an accessory in its own right: an assault backpack of a modern American soldier in 1:16 scale. It is a small part for a scene or for a figure, not a model of a vehicle and not a complete figure. In the large 1:16 scale the figure of an adult person measures roughly eleven centimeters, so even an object as small as this carries legible detail: the seams, the straps, the buckles and the clasps.
A backpack livens up any scene in which it is to be apparent that someone was there. It suits a cargo bed or a fender of a model of equipment, a box of ammunition, a trench or a figure's back directly. With static as well as radio-controlled models in 1:16 scale, personal equipment is among the simplest ways to tell the story of a scene. The designation 1 means one particular form within the manufacturer's range; the sibling numbers have a different shape and arrangement of the pockets, so compare the forms.
Separate the part carefully, level the area after the cut with a file and wash it in lukewarm soapy water before painting, so that the paint holds. Choose the glue according to the material of the part; cyanoacrylate glue holds on resin as well as on printed parts, and on a plastic surface it helps to roughen the mating area lightly. Spray a primer, then the base shade with an airbrush. Textile looks good when it stays matte: the relief is brought out by a dark wash in the folds, a dry brush along the edges of the straps and a light dusting of pigment at the lower part of the backpack.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, a figure and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
