An accessory set of antenna mounts for models of German tanks in 1:35 scale. It replaces the coarser parts from the kit or adds them where they are missing.
Responsibility details are not available.
An antenna is never seated directly in the armor of a combat vehicle. It is carried by a sprung mounting that damps the shocks and at the same time isolates the antenna from the frame of the vehicle; and this is exactly the assembly most often simplified or left out altogether on models. Yet it is a prominent item in a clearly visible place: for anyone who takes the trouble over tools and accessories on the hull, a coarsely simplified mount on the turret spoils the overall impression.
The set is made as an accessory for models of German tanks in 1:35 scale and brings antenna mounts worked out more finely than the contents of the box offer. The parts are not polystyrene, so they are not glued with modeling cement for plastic but with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder carefully; before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry, so that the paint keys.
Fit the mount only once the main filled seams on the turret are done, otherwise you will knock it off while sanding. Paint it at the same time as the rest of the vehicle, so that the shade matches. Modelers usually replace the antenna itself with stretched nylon line or thin wire, because a flexible material survives handling of a finished model better than a rigid part. Check the particular position on the turret and on the hull against the documentation for the vehicle you are building.
For modelers who build German vehicles in 1:35 scale and want to push the detail beyond the contents of the box. The kit, paints, glue and wire for the antenna are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
