The product carries the name of the shade Lilac. It is a paint from the assortment set aside for the drybrushing technique, that is for the final phase of painting a model. The name of the shade is the only piece of data the name carries.
Drybrushing will not come off in one pass. The correct procedure is a repeated, very light application, after each of which you look at the model from a distance. Every layer adds only a minute proportion of paint on the raised places, but the layers add up and the result grows smoothly. This slowness is an advantage: you have control over where you stop, and there is no risk of overpowering the whole previous coat with one careless stroke.
The drybrushing effect stands or falls on the difference between the base and the paint being applied. On a dark base coat even a very light application stands out and the edges separate legibly. On a light base more layers are needed, because the difference is smaller. That is why drybrushing is planned as early as the choice of the base color — a finished build can be improved, but the base can no longer be darkened after the fact.
For modelers who want full control over the effect, and for figure painters who can also use an unconventional shade in a highlight palette.
Keep the paint tightly closed and out of the reach of children, and ventilate while working. You will find the instructions for thinning and processing on the manufacturer's packaging.
