This is a sheet of 3D cockpit decals by Red Fox Studio in 1:32 scale, not a kit. The decals carry relief, so once applied the panels do not look flat, and the gloss backing gives the dials a glazed look. The set is intended for the Italeri kit.

The real subject

The F-104S ASA-M is the late modernized version of the Italian single-seat Starfighters. The modernization covered the avionics among other things, so the cabin differs from the basic F-104S. That is exactly why Red Fox Studio offers separate sets for both versions, and when choosing you have to take care which of them you are building.

How the set is applied

Before gluing, the raised relief of the instruments is usually sanded off the plastic parts so that the decal seats flat, and the surface is degreased. The pieces are carefully taken off the sheet and transferred to the corresponding place in the cabin following the manufacturer's procedure on the box. No extra gloss varnish is needed. Work on an open cockpit, while the fuselage is not yet joined.
