This small injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Zvezda represents the German twin-engine Junkers Ju 88 bomber in 1:200 scale. The model is conceived as a simple, quick build: the parts fit into each other and no glue is needed to assemble it. A stand for displaying the aircraft and a decal sheet tend to be included in the box.
The Junkers Ju 88 was one of the most widespread German combat aircraft of the Second World War. It was a twin-engine multi-role machine that was committed as a bomber and, in further variants, in other roles as well. It was marked out by its glazed nose and by good flying qualities, which allowed it to be used widely in combat.
Thanks to the small scale and the easy assembly the model suits less experienced builders too. Even though glue is not needed, the joints can be strengthened at a few points to be safe. A light primer comes in handy before painting; a small model looks good with a simple two-color camouflage and gentle accenting of the panels.
