The set contains three separate models at once: the M1070 tractor, the heavy M1000 semi-trailer with a capacity of 70 tons and, as a load, the D9R tracked bulldozer. The kit has rubber tires for the tractor and the trailer, one-piece premolded tracks and running gear for the bulldozer, clear parts and a photo-etched fret. The M1070 and M1000 combination is an American heavy equipment transporter (HET) intended to carry main battle tanks, the Abrams for instance, over long distances without needless wear on their own running gear. The M1070 tractor is a powerful all-wheel-drive truck tractor, and the M1000 trailer has a capacity of around 70 tons and steering axles for better maneuvering. The D9R tracked bulldozer is a heavy engineering machine used by the army for earthmoving and for recovery.
In the small 1:72 scale cut and clean up the parts carefully. Paint the premolded tracks and the running gear of the bulldozer separately before fitting them. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and the photo-etched elements with cyanoacrylate. A fine wash, an emphasis of the edges and dust pigments suit a sand or a NATO finish; the three models can be displayed together as a combination or each on its own.
