This self-adhesive tint film from SX-Art is intended for the clear parts of a model of the K-4386 Typhoon-VDV wheeled armored vehicle in 1:35 scale. The manufacturer makes several tint films with the same name, which differ only in which kit they are cut for: this variant is prepared for the kit from the RPG Model brand. It is neither a kit nor a spare part but an accessory for a model.
The K-4386 Typhoon-VDV is a Russian 4x4 wheeled armored vehicle from the Typhoon family, designed for airborne units. Against the heavier six-wheeled members of the family it is shorter and lighter, so as to fit within the transport capacity of airborne formations. The hull has increased resistance to an explosion from below and small armored windows with laminated glass, which has a marked color cast.
Wash and degrease the transparent parts, or the film will not adhere evenly. Lift the piece off with tweezers or the tip of a sharp knife and do not touch the adhesive side. Lay it on dry, line the position up and then press it down with a soft stick from the center toward the edges. On vehicles of this category the windows are many and small, so get good light ready and work one piece at a time. It goes most easily while the clear moldings are loose and not yet glued into the hull. An overspray of varnish harms the film.
