This is a self-adhesive holographic film for a model of the British Chieftain Mk.10 tank in 1:35 scale. It is not a paint, a mask or a resin part but a thin glossy film imitating the iridescent rainbow glint of the lenses of periscopes, gunsights and optical instruments. The shapes match the optics of this particular subject. The set is designed around the Meng kit.
The optics of real equipment shimmer in the light toward violet, green or blue. Such an effect can hardly be captured with paint; the film creates it simply by being stuck onto the lenses and vision ports and gives the model the realistic look of optics.
The accessory is a scenery material, not a paint; it serves to finish off the optical elements of a model.
