Holographic film for the optics of the Bergepanzer 2A2 1:35 from SX-Art replaces the plastic vision blocks and periscopes of the recovery vehicle with clear parts that have a gloss of their own. Intended for the Takom kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from SX-Art is intended for a model of the German Bergepanzer 2A2 recovery vehicle built on the chassis of the Leopard 1 tank. It contains clear parts that replace the plastic periscopes and vision blocks in the hull and in the superstructure. They are set into the openings left by the original moldings and give the optics a gloss that painted plastic does not have. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory for a model. The target kit is Takom.
Recovery vehicles have less prominent weapons, so the working detail and the driver's and commander's optics stand out on them all the more. That is exactly where a plastic vision block is lost once sprayed with paint. Holographic film has a prismatic reflection, changes its shade according to the angle of view and does not have to be painted. Once the hull has been matted down, the optics are left as the only glossy place, exactly as on the real machine.
Fit them at the end of the build, after the spraying, the decals and the weathering, so that the glossy surface is not dirtied by the pigments. Clean and degrease the openings left by the plastic parts, try the part dry and only then fix it. Use a clear glue for windows, which does not fog as it cures. Wipe dust from the surroundings away with a dry cotton swab.
