Knife Holder is a stand for a hobby knife from Excel. A knife in use is put down in it so that it does not roll across the table and the point of the blade is not ruined.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small thing that shows on a modeling bench straight away. A knife stand gives a scalpel or a hobby knife a firm place, so that it does not end up loose among parts in progress, glue and abrasive papers. It is not a tool you cut with and not part of any model, but an accessory for the workplace.
During a single building session you put a hobby knife down and pick it up again many times. A knife with a round handle will roll across the table top, and the edge of the table then sends it to the floor. It almost always falls point first, so in the better case the tip of the blade breaks off and in the worse the knife ends up in your leg. Putting it down in a stand removes both, and at the same time protects the edge, which otherwise blunts against a metal ruler or tweezers lying next to it.
Put it on the side of the table you pick the knife up from, so that your hand gets used to it and does not have to look for it. Return the knife to the stand even for a short break in the work, that is even when you are only turning a part in your fingers. Change the blade as soon as it stops running smoothly through plastic: a blunt blade calls for more pressure, and it is under pressure that it slips. Do not leave a knife with an exposed edge within reach of children or hanging loose over the edge of the table.
