Macchi MC.202 Folgore 1:32 (Art Scale)

This is a one-sided set of precisely shaped self-adhesive painting masks from the manufacturer Art Scale, intended for a large model of the Italian Macchi MC.202 Folgore fighter in 1:32 scale. The masks are cut from fine masking paper, and in the express fit version they have printed part numbers for easy, quick placement. The set masks the cockpit glazing from the outer side and usually also includes masks for the wheels. The masks are cut for the Italeri kit.

The real subject

The Macchi MC.202 Folgore was an Italian fighter of the Second World War, powered by a license-built V engine. Thanks to it, it gained markedly better performance than older Italian types and was among the most successful Italian fighters of its day.

Use

• You stick the masks onto the glazing parts according to the printed numbers and the diagram.
• You paint the glazing with the airframe color and carefully remove the masks once it has dried.
• The circular masks make it easier to paint the tires and the hubs cleanly.
