Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Canadian Chevrolet C60L army truck in the ambulance version in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer IBG Models. It is the medical version of a CMP-type truck (Canadian Military Pattern) with a closed box body for carrying the wounded. The smaller 1:72 scale suits the vehicle park of a diorama as well as the shelf of a collector with limited space.
CMP trucks were built by the Canadian subsidiaries of General Motors and Ford to British requirements, and over half a million were made in many types. The Chevrolet C60L was a three-ton truck with a characteristic hood and cab which formed the backbone of supply for British and Allied units on every front. The ambulance version had a closed body adapted for stretchers and basic medical equipment, and it carried the wounded from the front line to the dressing station.
In 1:72 scale the parts are small, so work with a sharp knife and a magnifier; paint the frame, the axles and the tires before the body is seated. Handle the box body and the Red Cross insignia with accurate masking or with decals. An airbrush suits British olive green or desert camouflage; fine weathering is created with a light wash and discreet dust pigments on the chassis, as too much mud would look coarse in this scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
