The Astray Red Frame belongs among the mobile suits of the world of Gundam and is one of the best known machines of the Astray branch. You will recognize it at first glance by its markedly red finish and by its slender, lightly built silhouette. The long limbs and the slight body match its focus on mobility and on close combat, which the melee weapon it carries in the story matches as well.

What the set is for

It is a plastic model of a robot intended to be assembled and displayed. The extent of the package, the number of parts and the way the parts join differ between individual releases, so keep to the manufacturer's instructions. They also give the recommended order of steps and the placement of the additional elements, if the release contains any.

Building and painting tips

Separate the parts with sharp nippers a little away from the part and then even the remaining nub out with a blade and fine abrasive paper, so that you do not damage the edge. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. Deep red shades cover less well than dark colors, so apply them in several thin layers, best of all over a lighter base. Bring out the joints between the panels with a dark glaze and set the small details apart in a metallic or dark shade, so that the model does not look flat.

Who it is for

The set will please collectors of robot figures and modelers who want a rest from aircraft and military equipment. A less experienced builder will manage it too, as long as they follow the instructions.
