The Option Parts Set range serves modelers as a source of optional parts. The ninth item of the range belongs, like the others, among the accessories rather than among the models: in the package you will find neither a robot nor any finished assembly. Some of the numbers in the range have their contents hinted at by a descriptive subtitle, but this number does not carry one, and the specific contents are stated on the packaging. The parts are pre-colored, so no paints and no glue are needed with them.
Optional parts serve to exchange and complete the equipment: they add armament, superstructures, mounts or movable elements and make it possible to build the same basis over and over, differently each time. For a collection it is a practical way to avoid having two completely identical examples standing side by side.
Pre-colored plastic gives every burr away, so separate the parts with sharp nippers at a distance and clean the sprue nub up with a knife or a fine file. Dry-fit the joints first. If you want to unify the surface with the model, treat the parts with the same varnish as the rest of the assembly, so that the sheen matches. And before you start, work out the overall composition, because swapping parts around on a completed assembly is more laborious than building it the way you want right from the start.
