Masks for spraying the national insignia with a white outline on a Mitsubishi A6M3 Zero version 22 model in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi A6M, in Japanese shortened to Reisen and known in the world as the Zero, was a carrier fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy. The A6M3 model 22 version went back to longer wings with folding tips and carried more fuel, which increased its range over the preceding version. Japanese national insignia took the form of a red disc; on some machines the disc was outlined in white.
Masks for spraying the national insignia in the form with a white outline, in 1:48 scale. A sprayed insignia has no carrier film, so it does not silver on a matte surface and does not wrinkle over rivets and panel lines. Outlined insignia are sprayed in two steps: first the white area is laid on and, once it has dried, the mask for the red disc is applied. Which parts belong to which step and how the insignia are placed are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Apply the mask only to a dry base coat and press the edges down with a blunt tool. Lay both the white and the red on in thin coats; red covers less well than other shades and with a heavy coat it readily creeps under the edge of the mask. Between the two steps let the paint dry properly, otherwise the lower coat comes away too when the mask is lifted. Look at the edge against the light once it is off.
The aircraft kit, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
