The Puma is a wheeled infantry fighting vehicle; the 4x4 version stands on two axles and ranks among the lighter armored vehicles. The vehicle is largely defined by its wheels, because it has no tracks and no bulky running gear to draw attention away from them on the model.
A set of replacement road wheels for a model in 1:35 scale. The wheels are fitted in place of the kit parts and have their own shape of rim and tread. The exact number of parts, the version of the tire and the fitting procedure are given in the manufacturer instructions; check them in advance, because the manufacturer makes two separate sets under this name that differ precisely in the version of the tire.
Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; super glue holds on resin and metal. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a short distance from the part and sand the remainder down so that the mating surface stays flat and the wheel does not sit crooked. Wash and degrease the wheels before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly on them. Paint them separately from the vehicle and fit them only once the running gear is finished. A dark gray shade suits the tire better than pure black, because black swallows the tread at this scale; bring the pattern out with a light dry brush and put the dust on the sidewalls, not on the tread.
The set is for modelers who are bothered by the simplified shape of the kit wheels or who put the vehicle into a scene where the wheels sit at the viewer eye level. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
