This is a plastic kit figure of the legendary Medusa from a fantasy series inspired by ancient Greek mythology. The figure in 1:24 scale stands out for the detailed working of the scaled skin and the snakes in the hair, and it is meant rather as a stand-alone collector's and painter's piece than as part of a military scene. The parts are injection-molded in plastic.
Medusa is one of the Gorgons of Greek myth, whose gaze turned people to stone and in whose hair snakes writhed. The motif is among the best-known subjects of ancient mythology and is a rewarding theme for figure painters.
Separate the parts carefully and join them with plastic cement. The figure is ideal for practicing the painting of skin, transitions of shade and fine detail. Bring out the scaled skin and the snakes with glazes and dry-brushing; a suitable base will support the result.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
