Laurie Lightning Bolt Barnes is a Master Box plastic kit figure in 1:24 scale from the science fiction line At the Edge of the Universe.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic figure in 1:24 scale from Master Box. The package contains one figure, specifically a female fighter of the galactic special forces, shown looking out from behind a corner with her weapon ready. The figure belongs to the fantasy line At the Edge of the Universe, where the individual sets tell connected episodes and can be put together into a shared scene. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
It is neither a historical figure nor a reconstruction of real equipment. The line is free science fiction with its own story, in which the same heroes and their opponents recur. The character Laurie Lightning Bolt Barnes is presented in this narrative as a member of a special unit, captured in a tense moment before a clash. The conception is dynamic, with an emphasis on the pose and a legible silhouette, which matters with figures in 1:24 scale, because in this ratio a human figure comes out at roughly seven centimeters and the details are already clearly visible.
Figures are glued with liquid cement for plastic, and it is advisable to fill and sand the gaps at the joints of the arms and the head, otherwise they will remain visible after painting. Apply a primer before painting, ideally in a shade corresponding to the predominant color. Paint the face and the hands first, while there is free access to them. The transitions on the flesh are built up best by glazing, that is, by applying very heavily thinned paint in layers, or with oil paints, which have a long working time. The clothing will be brought to life by light dry-brushing of the edges and a wash in the folds. Fit the weapon and the accessories only at the end, as they are small and easily damaged.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
