Super Asurada 01 Clear Version from the Japanese maker Aoshima is a plastic kit of a racing machine from an animated series, in a release marked Clear Version, in 1:24.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a fictional racing special in 1:24, issued in a special pattern marked Clear Version. According to that marking it is a release with clear parts, which makes it possible to show what is normally hidden under the body. Check the extent of the clear parts against the information stated on the box. The maker is the Japanese company Aoshima. It builds the models of this theme in the same scale as ordinary automobile kits, so they can be displayed side by side.
The subject comes from a Japanese animated series about the racing of cars with advanced control systems. The machines in it have enclosed cockpits, pronounced aerodynamic items and team color schemes, so in model terms they behave like racing specials, only with freer shapes. Special releases with clear parts are among the formats that Japanese makers occasionally put out for these series as a collector variant.
Clear parts call for a different discipline from ordinary plastic. Do not touch them with bare hands, as fingerprints will show through the clear coat, and glue them exclusively with glue for clear parts, because both ordinary cement and cyanoacrylate glue will fog them. Sand the mold seams down with progressively finer grits and polish the surface, so that the transparency comes back. Mask the parts you want to leave transparent before you start spraying. Paint the inner mechanicals more carefully than usual, as they will show through a clear body.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
