An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese Type 92 armored vehicle in the early version (Early Type) in 1:35 scale from Pit-Road. The kit stands out for nicely shaped parts and accurate proportions; it contains one-piece flexible tracks and a commander figure. The instructions are pictorial, in the form of drawings.
The Type 92 was a Japanese heavy armored vehicle of the interwar period, intended to mechanize cavalry units. It carried machine gun armament in the turret and in the hull and was used mainly in the Asian theater. The early version differed from the later one in details of the equipment and the running gear.
It is worth assembling the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull, gluing the joints with thin cement for plastic and evening the surface out with a primer. Japanese schemes come alive once a wash goes into the recesses and dust pigments onto the lower areas; an airbrush makes the transitions smoother.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
