A finished collector's model of the fourth-generation Skoda Octavia RS in 1:43 scale from the Czech maker Abrex, in the Highland Green Metallic shade. The model is supplied complete and is meant to go straight into a display case. The shade is part of a range in which Abrex works up the same car in a wide palette of metallic colors.
The fourth generation of the Octavia brought smoother shapes, a markedly digitized interior and a wider choice of powertrains. The sporting RS version stands at the top of the range and is told from an ordinary Octavia by its own bumpers, darker details and larger wheels. For Czech customers the RS has long been a byword for a fast family car within reach, and the fourth generation carries that on.
The green metallic shade is among the bolder choices on the RS, and on a model in 1:43 scale it shows the shape of the flanks and the transitions between surfaces well. In a collection it suits being a counterpoint to the darker and silver versions of the same car. Because Abrex offers this subject in several shades, it is easy to build a complete group of one generation in different colors.
