An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Centurion Mk.5/1 tank in 1:72 scale from Vespid Models, in the markings of the 4th Royal Tank Regiment (4th RTR). The set is completed by photo-etched parts, wire rope and tracks made as link and length. An optional metal barrel and a generous decal sheet with several marking options are also available.
The Centurion is among the most successful British tanks of the postwar era. It combined strong armor protection, good suspension and an accurate gun, which is why it proved itself in many armies around the world. The Mk.5/1 version is one of the upgraded stages of this long-serving type.
Thin cement for plastic is recommended, and assembling the running gear with the side plates before the hull is closed. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. After spraying the base color with an airbrush, the detail comes out with a wash in the recesses and fine pigments for field weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
