TM01 nippers are Japanese modeling nippers 120 mm long with an angled jaw for everyday work at the bench.
Responsibility details are not available.
Japanese-made modeling nippers with an overall length of 120 millimeters. The jaw is set at an angle to the body, which is the most common arrangement for work at the bench: the hand stays above the tabletop and the edge points forward toward the part. It is a general-purpose tool for everyday work on a kit.
The main job is separating plastic parts from the sprue and shortening pins, wires and profiles. The general-purpose version is a good first tool in a modeling kit, because it is not specialized for one kind of work. For the finest cut flush with the part, nippers with a thin blade are the better choice; these, on the other hand, take more punishment and call for less caution.
Cut parts in two goes so that the plastic does not whiten at the cut. Work with the part of the edge closer to the joint, where the nippers have the most force. Do not use them on hardened steel wire. Put a drop of oil on the joint now and then and wipe the jaws after work, otherwise glue and paint residue settles on them.
It pays to have general-purpose nippers at hand precisely so that finer tools do not have to be used for rough work and stay sharp.
