A resin figure of one standing modern Russian fighter pilot in 1:48 scale from Aerobonus (Aires). It is intended for a model of the Su-57 fighter - it stands beside the aircraft on its stand or in a diorama and gives the model both scale and life. It is an accessory, not an aircraft model.
The Su-57 is the most modern Russian stealth fighter. The figure captures a pilot in current flight equipment - a pressure suit, with a helmet and the gear of today's generation. A pilot standing by the aircraft is a popular way of bringing a finished model to life and giving it real proportions.
This is resin, which is worked differently from plastic. First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent (lukewarm water and a little dish soap), cut off the casting blocks and wear respiratory protection while sanding - resin dust must not be inhaled. It is glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate); plastic cement does not work on resin. Use a primer when painting; build up the skin through undertones, paint the gear and the helmet from references and take a fine brush to the face and the small details. A well-painted figure is the crowning touch, a bad one drags the whole aircraft down - so it pays to use figure paints, fine brushes and washes.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
