This plastic kit in 1:35 scale from AK Interactive represents the German covered railway freight wagon G10. The set contains parts for the wagon and for a section of track, photo-etched brass and decals for several marking options. Thanks to optional parts it can capture the differences between makers and years of production.
Covered freight wagons of the G10 type formed the backbone of the German railway fleet during the Second World War and after it. They served to carry the most varied cargo, supplies and people all over Europe. Their robust wood and steel construction and simple maintenance made them one of the most widespread freight wagon types of the day.
Build the wagon in subassemblies, so that the frame and the inside can be painted properly. The wooden surfaces come out well once the texture is brought up with a wash and drybrushing. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). You will use the enclosed section of track as the basis for a railway diorama, completed with a ballast bed and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
