The real subject

The Fairchild UC-61 is an American light high-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear and a glazed cabin for the pilot and a few passengers. It grew out of a civilian machine and during the war it served for liaison and courier duties, for carrying people and for transporting small loads. It reached Europe in large numbers and some of the machines stayed in service after the war as well. In Czechoslovakia the designation K-47 was used for this type.

What the sheet offers

This is a printed sheet of markings in 1:72 scale, put together for the Czechoslovak service of this type. How many complete sets of markings the sheet carries, which particular machines they belong to and what finishes go with them is given in the manufacturer's supplement. The placement of the individual elements on the model follows it too, because the position of the national insignia and the numbers differs from machine to machine.

Application tips

Cut the element out tight to the edge of the printing and immerse it for a few seconds in lukewarm water. Let it stand until it can be moved on the backing paper, and only then transfer it onto the model. The base has to be smooth and glossy, otherwise silvering will appear under the film. Soak the excess water up with absorbent paper and over raised shapes pull the element down with decal softener. Once dry, go over the area with a varnish that sinks the edges of the film into the surface.

The sheet will be appreciated by a modeler who builds domestic operators in 1:72 scale and wants the markings sharp and legible even on a small area. The kit of the aircraft, the paints, the varnish and the decal softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
