The Vought F4U Corsair is an American carrier-based fighter of the Second World War, recognizable at first sight by its cranked inverted gull wing and long nose. The F4U-1A version received a raised pilot's seat and a modified canopy, which improved the view forward and made landing on a carrier deck easier.
It is a set of photo-etched parts in 1:48 scale. The elements are etched from thin metal sheet, held on it only by small tabs, and they replace details that injection-molded plastic can render only in simplified form.
