1:48 Yak-9T BASIC kabuki masks

Yak-9T BASIC kabuki masks 1:48 (New Ware)

A basic set of laser-cut kabuki masks from the Czech manufacturer New Ware in 1:48 scale. It is intended for models of the Soviet Yak-9T fighter of the Second World War period. The fine kabuki tape follows the shape of the glazing exactly and leaves no marks when taken off.

The real subject

The Yak-9T was the anti-tank and anti-bomber variant of the successful Soviet Yak-9 fighter, armed with a heavy cannon firing through the propeller hub. It was one of the important aircraft of the Soviet Air Force on the Eastern Front.

Use

• The BASIC level covers the outside masking of the canopy glazing for clean framing of the frames.
• The masks are applied to clean, degreased surfaces, with the edges pressed down with a blunt tool.
• The paint is sprayed in thin coats so that it does not creep under the mask.
• They give sharp edges without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.

Who the set is for

For modelers who want to paint the canopy frames of their Yak quickly and cleanly without laborious masking by hand.

This is a set of painting masks, not a kit. Neither the base model nor paints are included in the package.
