A sheet of technical stencils and warning markings for a model of the P-38 Lightning in 1:72 scale. It adds the small service lettering to the surface of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engined fighter of the Second World War with an unmistakable twin-boom layout and the pilot's nacelle in the middle of the wing. It served as a fighter, an escort and a reconnaissance machine, and its broad smooth surfaces are a rewarding place for small lettering.
This is a collection of technical stencils and warning markings in 1:72 scale, that is of the small pieces of lettering that on a real aircraft mark filler necks, access panels, walking surfaces and the points for handling and lifting. It is precisely these details that bring an otherwise plain finish to life and give a model scale, because the eye recognizes at once how small the lettering on a surface is.
Choose the position of the individual markings according to references for the particular machine and its equipment, because it differed in the course of service and between production series.
The sheet will be used by a modeler who is building the P-38 in 1:72 scale and wants to take the surface beyond the decals from the kit. The model, paints and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
