A sheet of decals in 1:32 scale covering, according to the name of the product, the upper and lower surfaces of the wings with the five-color variant of the lozenge camouflage pattern. It is prepared for a Fokker D.VII built at the parent Fokker works. It is not a kit but a decal accessory to a model.
The Fokker D.VII was a German fighter biplane of 1918 with a welded tubular fuselage frame and a thick wing section, thanks to which it behaved well at low speeds. The demand for it was such that it was also built under license at the Albatros company and at its branch Ostdeutsche Albatros Werke. Machines from the individual works differed in a number of details including the execution of the covering, which is why the manufacturer makes sheets for each production separately. The covering was made of pre-printed lozenge camouflage cloth, on which the shades of the upper and the lower surfaces differed.
The wings of the D.VII are large continuous areas and the sheet is therefore divided into pieces. Do not rush the laying: lay each piece dry in its place first and think through where the joint against the neighboring piece will run, so that it does not fall in the middle of a clearly visible area. Let the film carry over the leading edge onto the lower side and draw it in with a softener, so the joint disappears in the bend. Let neighboring pieces overlap slightly rather than butt together, because the film shrinks as it dries and a light line would appear between pieces laid butt to butt.
These are decals, that is, an accessory to a kit. The kit, the paints, the clear coat and the softener are not included in the package.
