The A-10A is an American single-seat attack aircraft meant to support ground units. It has its turbofan engines set high at the sides of the rear part of the fuselage, the tail surfaces are twin and the pilot sits in an armored tub that protects him from fire from the ground. In 1:32 scale the cockpit is clearly visible, so it is exactly how it is worked up that decides the finished model.
Colored interior elements with three-dimensional relief in 1:32 scale, cut for the Zoukei-Mura kit. The elements are printed on a decal carrier paper and have no adhesive layer of their own. A part is cut from the sheet, dipped briefly and slid off the paper into place, that is, just like an ordinary decal. The extent of the set and the placing of the individual elements are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Paint the base first, let it dry and go over it with a gloss varnish of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type; it is exactly on gloss that the elements hold reliably. Cut the individual parts out with a sharp blade, leave them in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and then slide them off the paper into place, where you press them lightly from the middle out to the edges. On a shaped area work in small sections and help yourself with a drop of super glue. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution; the chemicals would attack the printed resin. Do not sand the colored surface of the elements. The finished interior only has to be evened out with matte varnish, with the instrument faces left glossy so that they look like glass. Finish the interior before you close the fuselage, as afterwards there is no access to it.
