The smaller colored photo-etched set 1:32 A6M5 Zero of the Zoom line concentrates on the instrument panel and the seat belts. It is a narrower selection than the full interior set.

The Zoom line at Eduard is a deliberately narrower selection from the full photo-etched set. It contains above all what is most visible on a model, that is the color printed instrument panel and the seat straps, and it leaves out the fine structural equipment of the cockpit. The extent corresponds to that: it covers roughly half of what the full interior set for the same aircraft does. For a builder who does not want to spend his evenings gluing dozens of miniature parts, it is a practical compromise.
The printed dials replace a plastic panel with suggested gauges and read clearly even from a distance. The metal belts can be shaped so that they fall naturally over the edge of the seat, which is the detail that gives a finished cockpit away fastest. With a machine with a closed canopy this extent is amply enough. The difference against a bare casting shows mainly in the reflection of light, because a printed surface has none of the gloss of fresh plastic and does not look flat even under side lighting.
Glue the panel in only once the surrounding interior is painted, otherwise you will dust the printed surface with the spray. Before bending the belts, draw them briefly between your fingernails; the metal then holds its shape better. Dose the super glue in a really small amount.
The metal set is supplied with no kit and no paints.
