1:32 A6M5c/7 Reisen from Dead Design, in the rendition with masking from inside as well as outside, deals with the glazing frames of the late Japanese fighter from both sides.
Responsibility details are not available.
An extended rendition of the masking set, set apart in the name by the bracket giving the inside and outside masking. The basic rendition covers only the outer face of the glazing, while this one goes to the inner side as well. In a large scale there is a practical reason for it: on Japanese fighters the sliding part of the cockpit is often built slid back, and at that moment the inner edge of the frame comes right into the field of view. The difference between the two variants lies purely in the extent of the masking, not in the subject.
Both versions given in the name fall in the last year of the fighting of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service. The earlier of them is the best-armed variant of the original type, with additional guns in the wing and with protection for the pilot that earlier machines lacked. The later version already reckoned with carrying a bomb under the fuselage and therefore had a strengthened structure. Both kept the characteristic long cockpit by which the Reisen is recognizable at first sight.
Work the inner side while the parts are still loose and can be turned over. First the cockpit interior shade, then, once it has dried, the masking from the outer face and only then the camouflage. Watch the fixed rear glazing, where the inner and the outer mask have to meet exactly, otherwise a double edge appears. Before fitting the part to the fuselage, check it against the light for any broken-off piece of mask left behind.
