Americans in Stalin's Sky — P-40K and Mustang I (NA-73), Part VII 1:32 is a set of wet decals from the manufacturer AML for models of the American Curtiss P-40K and North American Mustang I fighters in Soviet service.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of water-slide (wet) decals in 1:32 scale, the seventh part of the line devoted to American fighters in Soviet service. It concentrates on the Curtiss P-40K version and the early North American Mustang I (the NA-73 type). Paint masks are usually enclosed with this AML line as well. It is not a kit but an accessory for the plastic model of your choice.
The Curtiss P-40 was among the most numerous fighters delivered to the USSR under Lend-Lease, and it was used above all on the northern sectors of the front. The early Mustang I with the Allison engine, derived from the NA-73 prototype, was originally built to British requirements; the Soviet Air Force became acquainted with it in small numbers. The aircraft carried Soviet national insignia and period tactical markings.
Apply the decals over smooth gloss varnish. Dip the cut-out piece briefly in lukewarm water, slide it off the backing onto the model, adjust its position and soak the surplus water away. To make it settle into the engraved lines, use a decal softener and finally coat the surface over so that the sheen is even. Stick the enclosed masks onto a clean surface and spray the paint through them.
This is a stand-alone decal set. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
