A set of painting masks for the B-17F Flying Fortress in 1:32 scale from Eduard. They serve for accurate masking of the extensive glazing and other surfaces during painting; the model itself is obtained separately.

Eduard painting masks for the four-engined B-17F Flying Fortress heavy bomber in 1:32 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki (washi) tape, follow the extensive glazing of the pilot's cockpit, the turrets and the gun positions exactly, hold well, leave no adhesive residue once removed and can be reused if handled carefully.
The Flying Fortress was an American four-engined heavy bomber of the Second World War, famous for its heavy defensive armament and its ability to finish a mission even after severe damage. The B-17F version was one of the main variants deployed in daylight strategic bombing over Europe. It served above all with the US Army Air Forces.
The bomber's extensive glazing with its many frames is demanding to mask, so precisely cut masks speed the work up markedly. Stick them onto a clean surface, do not stretch them and press the edges down with a wooden stick. Spraying with an airbrush in thin coats and taking the masks off while the paint has only just dried is ideal.
Masks are not a model. This is a set of masking tapes for the given type; the kit itself, the paints and the glue have to be obtained separately.
